Show your Codes

Show hidden codes or characters in Word®.

Temporarily show some codes.

Go to the Home tab.

Click the paragraph mark in the Paragraph grouping, highlighted above. This will show spaces as dots between the words, tabs as arrows and paragraph marks as backward P. Clicking the paragraph mark acts like a switch, click to turn on or off.

Show hidden characters permanently.

Go to File tab and choose Options at the bottom of the list on the right. Select Display and the Check the boxes for the formatting boxes you want to see or choose "Show all formatting marks."
