When We Very Very Old
Erica Swadley
Erica Swadley says, "As long as there's life, there's poetry."
Erica Swadley was inspired by her favorite children's book When We Were Very Young by A.A. Milne. She writes with just the right mix of playfulness and ecstasy. Her poems address the adventure of aging with humor, compassion and tenderness. As the author spends couch potato time recovering from various joint implants, she explores topics some people would rather not look at such as loneliness and invisibility. She also makes clear that the elderly remain passionate, sensuous and engaged with life. Erica Swadley as a poet, painter and shamanic practitioner writes poetry that helps fill the empty spaces inside you. She is what in some cultures is known as a word-doctor, receiving information from the dream world and ineffable sources acting as a vessel to let messages pour through.

“Diving into Poetry Forms is delightful. The anthology shares an array of voices, woven together beautifully page by page with a mix of tenderness, wit, sorrow and joy. Tales From a Mid-Century Boy
Kurt Struble
A collection of writings about growing up in Michigan in the 1050s.
Short stories, poems, and narratives mostly about a ten- to sixteen-year-old boy growing up in Durand, Michigan, a small mid-western town during the 1950s, and summers spent at the family cottage on Tawas Point in "up north" Michigan, at a time when kids were free with one requirement: Be home in time for dinner. The boy in Tales From a Mid-Century Boy shows readers what it was like growing up in Mid-Century America. It acknowledges how lucky we were to have been a kid growing up in America during the golden years, 1950-1965.
